NYU Precollege Orientation is MANDATORY for all students, but it is as easy as 1, 2, 3

1. ATTEND THE STUDENT ORIENTATION

Precollege Student Orientation
Sunday, July 2, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Kimmel Center for University Life
60 Washington Square South, 4th Floor

The student orientation is for all Precollege students, commuter and residential.  We will cover information you need to know to have a successful and fun summer, including NYU resources and services, safety in the city, events and activities, and policies.  The orientation will end with a campus tour.

Precollege Parent Orientation
Sunday, July 2, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Kimmel Center for University Life
60 Washington Square South, 10th Floor

Do your parents want in on the Precollege action?  We’ll take care of them.  The parent orientation is optional for parents, guardians, and families of Precollege students.

Precollege Student (Make-Up) Orientation
Friday, July 7, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Kimmel Center for University Life
60 Washington Square South, Room 912

Will forces beyond your control and imagination keep you from attending the mandatory orientation on July 2?  Students who miss orientation must attend this make-up session.

2. ATTEND A WELLNESS 101 SESSION

Wellness 101
Various dates and times
Waverly Building
24 Waverly Place, Room 567

Wellness 101 is mandatory for all NYU Precollege students, and students will be able to sign-up for one of over a dozen sessions to ensure they meet this requirement. Sessions will be offered at various times during the first two weeks of the program.  The Wellness 101 schedule will be emailed to students before the program begins.

3. CHECK-IN WITH OFFICE OF GLOBAL SERVICES

International Students Only

All Precollege international students must report their arrival on campus during the first week of the program.  This is a requirement of the U.S. Government, and the Office of Global Programs (OGS) has an online process for you.  After you arrive at NYU:

  1. Submit an OGS arrival form and your immigration documents online
  2. Update your local address in Albert to your new NYC address
  3. Make sure you are registered full-time (6 credits or more)

Information about these two steps is on the OGS website here.
