NYU Precollege officially kicks off on Sunday, July 2 with move-in and orientation.
- Residential students should plan to move into the residence hall between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2; If you need to arrive in New York before that day, you will need to arrange for your own accommodations; students will not be able to move into the residence hall prior to the start of the program.
- Mandatory Orientation:A mandatory orientation for all Precollege students will take place on Sunday, July 2, covering all the basics you should know to get the most out of your summer experience at NYU. Orientation is mandatory for all students, living on or off campus, and optional for parents.

60 Washington Square SouthIn addition to orientation, all international students must attend a mandatory check-in workshop upon starting their classes at NYU. Please refer to the Office of Global Services webpage for more information.
When do I have to leave?
Friday, August 11
The last day of NYU Precollege is Friday, August 11.
- Last Day of Class: Friday, August 11 is the last day of summer class, although most students will be done with classes that Thursday, depending on their class schedule.
- Move-out: All students living on campus must check out of Founders Hall no later than 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11. Most students will not have class that day. If you need to remain in New York after August 11, you must arrange for your own accommodation; students will not be able to extend their stays in Founders Hall.
Did I apply for housing…and can I still apply?
As a reminder, if you are interested in living on campus, you would have indicated as much in your application for admission, and additional communication was emailed to you. If you did not answer “yes” to on-campus housing in your application, but would now like to be considered, write to email@example.com to let us know.
